Fishing on Galveston
Bay has been fair to
good the last week or
so. Last week I ran four
trips on the lower end
of West Bay wading with
arties only to find a
fair bite at best. We
caught a few Trout to
25' early on topwaters
then finished out the
day throwing Saltwater
assassins in Plum or Red
Shad to finish out our
days. last week we had
an average of 15 Trout
per day. wading with
arties for me hasn't
been fast and furious
but we have been
scratching out a few
fish throughout the day.
The better days have
been throwing live
shrimp. We have been
catching solid limits of
Trout at the jetties for
a few weeks now and I
expect this pattern to
hold through September.
Today my party had a 3
man limit by noon but
caught well over forty
Trout to 25'. Free
linning shrimp has been
the ticket to solid
limits of Trout.
